This is the second article I write about online scams: Fortinte account sales scam. In the first article I've covered email scams and purchases on listing sites, such as Facebook Marketplace, Subito, Kijiji, eBay, and others.
This time, the scam is thinner and targeted to young boys, even if easily identifiable by more mature people, with a little more experience and years on the shoulders!
But how does the Fortinte account sale scam work? And how not to fall for it?
On platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and others, it's easy to find videos of people selling accounts for Fortnite and other online games, like Minecraft, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars, for example.
Why would anyone buy an account for these games? The answer is simple: some accounts contain interesting, rare, and hard-to-get characters.
However, it is important to underline that the purchase of account violates the terms and conditions of the games producers, therefore it is an operation that should not be done.
Despite this, there are many people willing to buy the accounts. And many other people, scammers, take advantage of this situation. Let's see together the most common scams, like the one that just happened: the Fortinte account sale scam.
Here's how they scam you
A guy contacts an account seller on TikTok: @vendoaccountfortniteog77. Of course, the seller could also be called something else. The seller promptly answers all questions and reassures the unwitting young buyer.
The seller ensures that the account is valid and safe, guaranteed by a bot who immediately sends the access credentials to the game once the payment is received.
However, payment can only be made with methods that do not provide for any type of refund in case of problems, such as PayPal friends, PostePay recharge, Amazon gift cards, etc.
The buyer, unaware of the scam, makes the agreed payment, for example 20 euros, through paypal friends to the seller, who looks like Yousef Halik, e-mail Berrybrfn@gmail.com. Even if the name and email you have are different, it could still be a scammer.
As soon as the money is sent to the seller, he pretends not to have received it, otherwise the bot would have sent the login credentials to the game.
The seller then advises to make a second payment, promising that the first payment will be refunded, according to him, if it ever arrives.
In reality, the seller's intent is precisely to scam the buyer several times, trying to get as much money as possible.
Fortnite's account, Minecraft, Clash Royale or Brawl Stars will never be delivered and the seller will disappear with various apologies.
Another scam sale Fortinte Account, or other games, could lead to the delivery of a working account. After the sale, the seller will call him back, stating that his account has been stolen. In this way, the game producer would provide credentials to the one who created them, making any attempt to change the password useless.

If you really want to buy an account, it is recommended to do so from a friend or someone you know personally and trust. With each motorcycle, keep in mind that it is a practice that violates the terms and conditions of the video game producers.
